Cherian has been practicing medicine for 34 years. He has worked in many countries such as South Africa and India, in various capacities and specialties before coming to Australia in 2000. Cherian enjoys all areas of medicine and has special interests in Varicose Vein procedures including Radiofrequency Ablation and Sclerotherapy. He heads up our newest department housing our recent medical acquisition, an Endo Venus Radio Frequency(EVRF) machine. We can now permanently remove varicose & spider veins. He also has a special interest in ENT (ear, nose & throat) medicine & Surgery.

Dr. Gowrie Senaweera

Dr. Gowrie Senaweera has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. She has worked in various hospitals in Sri Lanka as well as Birmingham in the UK. Gowrie practiced as a GP for 5 years before coming to Australia. Her special interests are paediatrics,women’s health and minor surgical procedures.

Dr. Win has been practicing medicine since 1980. He has been a GP for over 20 years and has worked in various places including Myanmar, Papua New Guinea and Australia. He was a senior Medical Officer at Bowen Hospital for 3 years and a GP for 4 years in Bowen North Queensland prior to moving to the Gold Coast. His post- graduate qualifications include Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners & a certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine. He has vast experience in general medicine,surgery, obstetrics, gynaecology, child health, skin lesions and minor surgical procedures.

Dr Jok Teng

Dr Jok Teng is a Sydney University Graduate with a wealth of experience in both the General Practice and Hospital sectors.
Dr Teng’s interests are in all aspects of General Medicine.

Dr Merima Isakovic

Psychologist

Dr Isakovic became a Clinical Psychologist after being directly involved in voluntary work of helping victims of horrifying war in her homeland, former Yugoslavia. She became a Board Approved Clinical Psychologist in New Zealand, after completing PhD in Psychology at Victoria University and P.Dip. Clin.Psych at Master Degree Level in Clinical Psychology with Massey University.

Dr Isakovic works with people of all ages who experienced trauma, severe depression, anxiety, panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive symptoms (OCD), as well as relationship difficulties, self-esteem issues and a variety of other distressing symptoms.

Dietitian

Scott Osborne is an Australian-trained Dietitian, focussing on general health, nutrition and weight-loss. Scott completed his Dietitian qualifications and accreditation in 1991.

Mark graduated from the University of Southern Queensland in 1991 with a Bachelor of Business degree. He has worked as the practice owner / manager since starting the business with help and support from his family in 1995. Soon after his wife Michelle joined him in the clinic as she returned to work after starting their family. They now have 2 teenage children. The camaraderie and rapport they share with the patients’ means so much to them. “where else would you get great fishing tips at work” enthuses Mark regularly.

EEN Practice Nurse

Michelle graduated from Nursing in 2009 and is now one of the Practice Nurses. She has worked at the practice since 1997. Michelle loved the practice so much she reskilled herself became one of the practice nurses. Now she is very much, a hands on person, enjoying working with the community. Being a Mum yourself helps you to empathise with the patients. “It’s very rewarding”, Michelle exclaims.

EEN Practice Nurse

Anne graduated from nursing in 1975 and is one of the Practice Nurses here. She has worked at the practice since 2007. She is from England originally. “The weather took a bit of getting used to”, says Anne. Now she can’t think of anywhere better to live.

Receptionist

Ashleigh is an Exercise Physiologist and Sports Scientist, with a history of working in Business Development, Human Resources and her own business. Ashleigh started with us in 2014 and works in a combined management and reception role.

Receptionist

Sandra also works as a receptionist here since 2008. She and her husband live locally and enjoy our area with their sons. “ It is such a pretty area to walk our dog in the park.”

Receptionist

Diane has been our part time/holiday receptionist since early 2011. Being a local lady Dianne says that every day coming to work like being on holidays. Paradise Point has such a relaxing ambience being close to the water.
